UPDATE!!!The Unbreakable Tour (Friday Jan 18th @ Red Fox)

I originally reported that this show would include a performance from Turbulence, this has now been confirmed to not be true. He did play at other dates on the tour, and the promoter says he (Turbulence) will be back to Humboldt soon. This is still going to be a great show, and there is a possibility of Chezidek making an appearance.

This show is tonight. After an unsuccessful attemp at a live interview, I called the promoter to get more info and to answer some questions that came from callers to the Reggae Jamdown.

Big Up 2008

I hope everybodies NYE celebration was joyous and the new year brings you good fortune. For the first Jamdown in 2008, we are going back to the roots. For the Reggae Jamdown that means pulling strictly from KHSU vinyl library. I only made it to the "M"s before I had too many records to play in one show, so you can expect to hear some classic reggae over the next few weeks.

It seemed as if there was an explosion of music toward the end of '07. I have already heard some real heat in '08 and we are only 4 days in so far. We'll pick up with the new tunes around the time school gets back in session. There was even a lot that we just didn't have time to play. In my opinion there is a lot of good reggae music to listen to right now, Give Thanks!

One last shout out the Jamdown Massive for an epic year. This podcast thing is on fire and the website has been getting better every week. My goal this year is to get more comments on the posts and more people posting; like other DJs, Artists, Promoters, Journalists, etc. If you are interested, leave a comment. Of course I would also like to see the Reggae Jamdown become the most popular podcast coming out of California and keep the airwaves flowing positive vibration throughout the nations.
